This website is about our journey and living on our narrowboat, Never Two Late. We will take you along with us and we will vlog our journey on YouTube too. Mexi, our Lakeland terrier cross, will be with us too, and she is a real character. You can buy books about her adventures from Amazon.

We are featured in series 2 of Narrow Escapes. The new series is available on Channel 4. We were on episodes 23 and 24.

About Us

Steve and Maxine have been together since 2010. Steve has now retired, ready to live on the narrowboat. Maxine works part-time from the boat. She’s a life coach, hypnotherapist, and author of self-help books and children’s stories, which are available from Amazon. And is looking forward to writing more in the future. They live on the boat with their three-year-old Lakeland terrier cross Mexi. She is full of fun, and I’m sure she will make a fantastic boat dog. We plan to travel the canal network of the United Kingdom. We will stop as we feel like it. We will explore the areas they both enjoy walking and being outside. Maxine enjoys cooking and will publish different recipes on the website’s recipe page. They are looking forward to meeting lots of other people. They want to explore. Then they will embrace life as continuous cruisers living on the cut.

  4. Hi Steve and Maxine, loved watching you on Narrow Escapes, I have a selection of coins my Dad left and wondered if you would like them? There’s a mixture of old pennies, silver sixpence etc, I am happy to donate them if you can use them to make your craft items.
