Welcome Aboard Never Two Late

Hello, we’re Steve, Maxine and Mexi, and welcome to Never Two Late – Our Journey.

A few years ago, we made the decision to leave behind the traditional 9-to-5 lifestyle and begin a new chapter living aboard our beautiful narrowboat. What started as a dream has become a way of life, and we haven’t looked back.

Today we spend our days exploring the incredible canals and waterways of the United Kingdom, discovering hidden villages, historic towns, peaceful countryside and, most importantly, the wonderful people we meet along the way.

We’re not filmmakers or travel experts. We’re simply a couple who love sharing our adventures and creating memories as we cruise the waterways with our little boat dog, Mexi, who has become a favourite with so many of our viewers.

Every Saturday at 4:45pm, we share a new YouTube adventure, inviting you to come along for the journey. Whether we’re tackling a famous flight of locks, discovering a picturesque village, facing unexpected challenges, or enjoying a quiet evening moored in the countryside, we hope our videos make you feel as though you’re travelling with us.

Alongside our travels, you’ll also find:

Maxine’s books

Steve’s handmade coin jewellery

The Alternative Living Chat Podcast

Recipes cooked aboard Never Two Late

Our weekly newsletter

…and, of course, plenty of updates from Mexi, who takes her role as boat dog very seriously!

We feel incredibly lucky to call the canals our home and are grateful for the amazing community that has grown around Never Two Late. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or have only just discovered our journey, thank you for being here.

So grab a cuppa, make yourself comfortable, and come cruising with us.

Making memories, sharing adventures, and enjoying life one canal at a time.

  1. Hi Steve and Maxine, loved watching you on Narrow Escapes, I have a selection of coins my Dad left and wondered if you would like them? There’s a mixture of old pennies, silver sixpence etc, I am happy to donate them if you can use them to make your craft items.
